ASIAN CONTINENTAL CONFERENCE OF ICOR SUCCESSFULLY HELD IN KATHMANDU
The 2nd regular Continental Conference of the International Coordination of Revolutionary Parties and Organisations took place in Kathmandu on 27th and 28th July 2013. Delegates of revolutionary parties from various parts of Asia like the NCP (Mashal), CPN (Unified), Communist Party of India (Marxist Leninist), Communist Party of Bangladesh and the Marxist-Leninist Organisation of Afghanistan (M.L.O.A.) took part in the meeting. The Chief Coordinator of the International Coordination Committee of ICOR, Com. Stefan Engel of Germany also took part in the meeting. The delegation of the CPI (ML) consisted of the Com. K. N. Ramachandran, General Secretary and Com. Sanjay Singhvi, Politburo member while the delegation from the CPB included Com. Haider Akbar Khan Rano, Presidium member.
The Continental Conference is being held in preparation of a new World Conference of ICOR. The report of the Asian Coordination Committee was discussed and approved and the following resolutions were also passed:
We condemn the attack of the Islamic fundamentalists on the office of the CPB in Dhaka.
We condemn the US and NATO, and allied, as well as reactionary forces, who are occupying Afghanistan and call for the immediate withdrawal of all foreign forces from Afghanistan.
We condemn the occupation of Iraq and the threat being given out to Iran and North Korea by US and the NATO forces and support the struggle of the people there against imperialism.
We condemn the occupation of Palestine and Israeli expansionism upon the people of Palestine and give full support to the just struggle of the Palestinian people for their freedom.
We fully support the struggle of the people of Syria and condemn all foreign interference in Syria, with the US and NATO on the one hand and China and Russia on the other.
We condemn Indian expansionist designs upon Nepal and upon other countries of South Asia and call upon the Indian people to take to the streets to compel their Government to give up these designs.
The Conference elected a new Coordination Committee and a new Continental Coordinator.
