Donald Trump's victory result of a severe economic crisis, frustration, and dissatisfaction among the people of America

Nepal Communist Party (Mashal) Central Office, Mohan Bikram Singh, General Secretary,

Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidential election is primarily the result of a severe economic crisis, frustration, and dissatisfaction among the people of America. America is currently going through a serious financial crisis, and it is likely to intensify more. The recent bankruptcy of several major banks indicates this trend.

Due to the growing economic crisis in the U.S., prices have risen on one hand, and unemployment has also increased significantly. To address these issues, Trump promoted the slogan 'America First.' This meant that, to fulfill its various responsibilities in the world, the U.S. would reduce or stop its war expenses related to NATO and many other countries. His emphasis was that all that money which goes outside should be spent for the welfare of American people. Secondly, he advocated for limiting the number of migrants entering the U.S. and even expelling those who had come to U.S.

In this way, Trump sought to reduce the burden of unemployment in America. These measures appealed to many, and Trump was seen as the people's 'savior.' However, the slogans Trump used to gain massive support were just an illusion. The root cause of the economic crisis and unemployment in the U.S. lies in very capitalist system and that problem wouldn't be solved without abolishing capitalist system fully.

Various political parties in the U.S. have, at different times, lured people with catchy or popular slogans. As long as the capitalist system exists, the people will continue to move in circles. Currently, wars are taking place in many parts of the world, such as in Ukraine and in Gaza. The primary responsibility for these wars lies with American imperialism. The war situation in Ukraine has arisen because the U.S. or NATO is trying to bring Ukraine into NATO.

Though the war since to be between Russia and Ukraine, it is actually a war between Russia and NATO led by the U.S. Trump has claim that he will cause the war in Ukraine to come to an end within 24 hours after he comes to power. However, he will not assume office until January 20. It remains to be seen whether he will fulfill this promise or whether it will simply turn out to be an empty election slogan.

The U.S. is primarily responsible for the attack and massacre which Israel is currently carrying out in Gaza. Despite claiming to promote democracy, human rights, and peace, the U.S. not only supports Israel's massacre in Gaza, but its level of assistance to Israel speaks for itself. The demand of the Jews for there an independent state was correct, and we still recognize their right today.

However, the establishment of the state of Israel, expelling millions of Palestinians from their land with the support of U.S. was a barbaric atrocity and we have been severely condemning that. Since then, the Palestinian people have struggled for the liberation of their homeland. Their struggle has received support from justice-loving people all over the world. The current genocide being carried out by Israel against the Palestinian people is continuously being supported by America.

Trump, however, speaks of helping Israel in every ways. This suggests that there is no possibility of Trump ending the war in Gaza. In such a background, it is certain that the liberation struggle of Palestinian people would be or should be continue until the goal of Palestinian people's to liberate their homeland is achieved. Regardless whichever two candidate in the presidential election of U.S. would have been victorious, there would have not been any difference in the imperialist policy of U.S. In spite of that the quantity difference in the policies in both of them can't be ruled out.

However, the defeat of Kamala Harris in this election also highlights a deep-rooted masculinist mindset that discriminates against women in American society. The masculinist policy toward women, combined with racist policies toward blacks, demonstrates that American society is still dominated by a very backward culture. This backwardness also played a role in the defeat of Kamala Harris.

Although it was previously suggested that the election would be nearly equal, but the results show that Kamala Harris trailed far behind. The backward attitude toward women in American society contributed significantly to her defeat also. Both candidates represented America's imperialist policies, but individually, it is clear that Kamala Harris was better choice over Trump. However, her defeat was influenced by the entrenched backward views in American society.

Trump's views on several issues, including climate change, are more reactionary. With slogans like "America First," it seems likely that the U.S. will contribute less to global welfare activities. Therefore, the world will likely face more harm from his policies during his tenure. He also mentioned reducing U.S. aid to NATO. If because of that NATO's interventionist role is reduced, it would be a positive outcome.

Since the U.S.'s basic system is capitalist and its fundamental policy is imperialist, there will be no significant difference in the basic policies, regardless of who was elected. However, we will clarify our future policies based on the type of policy Trump adopts after assuming office.
