Resolution on Annexation and Occupation of Nepali Territories by India
India has occupied the Kalapani area of Nepal since 1962 after the Indo-China war was over and has stationed its military camp for 62 years. India has incorporated the Nepali territories in its political map that spans from Kalapani through Lipulekh to Limpiyadhura covering approximately an area of 385 square kilometres. India deems Kalpapani as an important strategic point regarding its national security and has thus shown its mala fide intention to maintain its grip over the territory. India, in this way, has displayed its aggressive policy and attitude in a very naked way towards Nepal.
This sort of notorious act committed on the part of the Indian side is not a new phenomenon. In this way, India has enhanced its aggressive ambition by curtailing Nepal’s national sovereignty and territorial integrity. We condemn such an attitude of India in the strongest possible terms and vehemently demand an immediate withdrawal of the Indian military from Kalapani and the return of the annexed Nepali territories of Kalapani, Lipulekh, and Limpiyadhura at the earliest.
And, at the same time, we urge India to respect the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of Nepal. All the patriotic and leftist parties and forces have relentlessly waged the struggle against the forcible occupation of Nepali territories for the last six decades. Now the political map of Nepal with these territories has been inscribed in the constitution of Nepal unanimously approved by the parliament.
