MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CPI(ML)MASSLINE AND THE FAMILY OF COMRADESANJAY SINGHVI

CPK,

On behalf of the Communist Party of Kenya (CPK) and the ICOR Africa Coordination, I convey our heartfelt message of condolence to the CPI (ML) Massline, the Trade Union Centre of India (TUCI), the working class of India and the family of comrade Sanjay Singhvi following his passing on April 23 2025.

We are saddened by the news of the death of our comrade in the struggle for socialism in India, Asia and the world. We are mourning comrade Sanjay who was not only a great revolutionary from India, but of the world.

Comrade Sanjay lived a full life as an independent, conscious and creative social being who used his time and talents as a living matter and human being in the service of humanity by making contribution to the struggle of making the World a better place than he found it. Comrade Sanjay was ever a militant soldier of the cause of socialism and communism. He was an unapologetic enemy of capitalism, imperialism, zionism and all forms of oppression of person by person.

I knew Sanjay who I met several times through ICOR and forged comradely friendship. I found Sanjay to be widely knowledgeable, having a solid capacity for analysis, and having a deep grasp of general history and the history of the world communist movement. Sanjay had an interesting sense of humour which he used to disseminate wisdom and forge close ties with other comrades.

Finally, to comrades of CPI(ML) Massline: let us honour the memory of comrade Sanjay by deepening the revolutionary work in India, and by strengthening the international organisation of our work through ICOR.

Long live the work of Comrade Sanjay Singhvi!

Benedict Wachira
Secretary General, Communist Party of Kenya (CPK)
Africa Continental Coordinator, ICOR.
