Congratulations, Great Iranian People!

Mohan Bikram Singh, General Secretary, Nepal Communist Party,

The attack on Iran by American imperialism and its fascist Israeli government, which has killed a large number of high-ranking officials there, including Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei, has been strongly condemned by the NCP (Mashal), and the massacre is being opposed worldwide.

For this, we congratulate the Iranian people that despite such a major attack and massacre, they have not backed down. Instead, they are resisting and attacking American military bases in Central Asia and Israel on a large scale. Their actions speak to the greatness of the Iranian people, and for that they deserve congratulations from people all over the world. Therefore, we also congratulate them.

Externally and openly, American imperialism appears to be very powerful, but in reality, it has become infamous worldwide for its fascist and terrorist actions. Opposition to it is increasing globally—not only among nations and peoples affected by imperialism, but even among countries in Europe and within the United States itself. Its contradictions with Russia, China, and North Korea were already sharp, and now its contradictions within NATO are also increasing. Its contradictions with several countries have intensified due to its policy of occupying Greenland, making Canada the 51st state of the USA, and occupying the Panama Canal. It already had contradictions with Cuba. Now its contradictions with the whole of Latin America have intensified because it kidnapped Venezuelan President Maduro. Formerly, India had good relationship with USA, but now it is deteriorating in one way or another. Its relations with the countries of Central Asia are also worsening. As a result of the current war between Iran and the United States, America's position in Central Asia will be further weakened. Opposition among the American people themselves to Trump is increasing. Due to these various internal or external conflicts, the position of America has grown increasingly weaker since Trump became president. In this context, it is impossible not to raise the question: How did the American people elect such a person as president? How much is the foundation of American democracy weakening—or, in other words, how much is it going bankrupt? That is as clear as day.

Due to Trump's global tariff policy and his immigration policy, not only American politics but also the global economic situation has become highly disturbed. Currently, the crisis within world capitalism is deepening, and America's own economic situation is also becoming weaker. Trump has announced that he will make America the most powerful country in the world under the slogan “America First,” but in practice its position is becoming weaker and weaker. In reality, it is not because of Trump alone that America has become weak; rather, the way its position is currently weakening under his leadership is a natural and inevitable result of the regressive and decadent character of capitalism. Under Trump’s leadership, that process of capitalist decline has accelerated. As a result, America will not become more powerful but weaker. Thus, no matter how powerful America appears externally, it is weakening rapidly internally. The way he is currently pushing imperialism in a decadent direction at the global level is placing world capitalism in a dangerous position.

The war that the Iranian people are currently waging is not just a war of Iran, but part of the struggle of the people of the world against imperialism and war, and for the protection of world peace. Therefore, that war has global significance. As the war develops, the danger of a world war or even a nuclear war is very serious. If that happens, it will cause immense harm to the entire human race. Imperialism must be defeated to prevent such a situation from arising. In this way, it will be possible to end the war, protect world peace, and safeguard humanity.

The war that the Iranian people are currently waging is an important link in the international struggle against imperialism. In the end, it is certain that the Iranian people will win and that America and Israel will lose. The victory of the Iranian people in that war will be the victory of all anti-imperialist and peace-loving people of the world.

American imperialism is trying to make Nepal its battlefield to fulfill its imperialist objectives or establish global dominance. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the Nepali people to fight uncompromisingly against American imperialism. It is also deeply concerning that just as the Modi government of India has not uttered a single word against the assassination of Khamenei in Iran, the government of Nepal has also not raised its voice against it. In support of the Iranian people's great resistance against the assassination of Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei and against imperialism, we condemn such policies and appeal to all justice- and peace-loving Nepali people to firmly support the Iranian people’s resistance against American imperialism. Millions of Nepali's work in the Gulf countries; therefore, their protection has become a very serious issue. We also appeal to the Nepali government to take effective steps to protect them.

It is also noteworthy that various leftist and democratic forces in Nepal have followed the policy of the Modi government of India or the interim government of Nepal by remaining silent or neutral regarding the massacre in Iran or the imperialist war against the Iranian people. As far as the NCP (Mashal) is concerned, it has adopted a clear and firm position from the beginning. Failing to raise a voice against the heinous massacre committed by the US in Iran amounts to supporting American imperialism in one form or another way, and its consequences could be very serious for Nepal as well. Therefore, we request all leftist and democratic forces, and all people of Nepal who love justice, to come forward to support the Iranian people’s resistance against American imperialism.

Taking advantage of the situation created by the attack on Iran by the US and Israel, royalist forces of Iran have also begun efforts to restore the monarchy. However, we believe that the Iranian people will defeat such attempts.

We must also pay attention to another important aspect of the war that the Iranian people are waging against American imperialism. With American support, millions of Palestinians were displaced from their homeland and the Israeli government was established there. America's objective in supporting Israel has been to establish dominance in the Gulf region. The Palestinian people have struggled against this for seven and a half decades, and their just struggle has received global support. However, American imperialism and the Israeli government are using all their power to deny the Palestinian people their rights and suppress their movement. Iran has been a strong supporter of the Palestinian liberation movement. That is why America and Israel have attacked Iran—to weaken the Palestinian movement. Similarly, the US seeks to control Venezuela’s vast oil reserves by kidnapping Maduro. In order to maintain the rule of the Israeli government, the US and Israel attacked Iran and assassinated its Supreme Leader. In protest against that massacre, Iran is now attacking Israel. We hope and believe that US imperialism and the Israeli government will ultimately fail to suppress the just movement of the Palestinian people and that their liberation struggle will succeed.

After the US attack on Iran and the assassination of its Supreme Leader, a kind of polarization has emerged in the world. While the majority of global public opinion has opposed the US attack and the assassination, there are also forces that support these actions. Such polarization is also visible in Nepal. Pro-American elements have either openly supported these activities or remained silent or neutral. Just as the US is openly and aggressively attempting to dominate the world—even in violation of international law—the possibility of it adopting similar policies in Nepal cannot be ruled out. Due to its growing opposition to China and its strategy regarding Tibet and the Dalai Lama, Nepal could also become a target of such policies. In this situation, the Nepali people must pay attention not only to the methods America uses elsewhere but also to its policies toward Nepal. We must raise awareness by exposing those who serve American imperialism openly or covertly, because ultimately, the awareness of the people determines everything.

Finally, we express our highest respect to the great Iranian people and congratulate them once again.
