We have received news of the death of a respected Chinese proletarian revolutionary, Comrade Zheng Huilu, and send his comrades our condolences.  

Comrade Zheng Huilu’s life stood in sharp contrast to the revisionist Deng Xiaoping’s claim that it is glorious to get rich. It is never glorious to get rich at the expense of one’s fellow human beings. Comrade Zheng Huilu’s life was glorious, despite his poverty and illness, because like Comrade Zhang Side, he lived his life serving the people in struggle. 

We Australian Communists will strive to learn from Comrade Zheng Huilu’s spirit of embedding himself in the mass movement, following the mass line, fearing no sacrifice and persevering against all difficulties.
