We condemns the United States' attack on Venezuela

UPC - MANIDEM,

On the night of 2 to 3 January 2026, the imperialist forces of the United States of America bombed Caracas, the capital of Venezuela, as well as other cities such as Miranda and La Guaira. These indiscriminate bombings inevitably caused several civilian and innocent casualties, the extent of which remains to be determined. Furthermore, the authoritarian and rogue regime of the US president kidnapped the president of Venezuela and his wife, flouting international law and United Nations rules, no doubt convinced that once the deed was done, nothing would happen to him except timid protests.

If the act of aggression committed by the United States on 3 January is not widely and unanimously condemned, it will establish the law of the strongest in international practice, with no regard for the law. Similar acts of aggression on European soil, for example, will be legitimised, including the kidnapping of leaders. This serious act opens an unprecedented breach for a proliferation of conflicts at the international level.

The European sections of the UPC-MANIDEM:

-First express their total solidarity with the Venezuelan people, who are currently seeing all the achievements of the Bolivarian revolution endangered.

-Denounce in the strongest possible terms these bombings, whose sole objective is to extort Venezuela's important natural resources, after failing to impose compliant leaders there.

-Call on all anti-imperialist and progressive forces to resist, each in their own way,

this despicable aggression against the sovereignty of a country.

-Demand that the African Union and the United Nations take a clear stance on this unprecedented violation of international law.

Long live the Venezuelan people!

Long live the Bolivarian revolution!

Down with imperialism!
